How To Turn 2017 Into Year of Good Health, Prosperity, Harmony and Happiness

Isaiah 40:29-31

He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

This post focuses on using God’s promises to achieve the desires of our heart.  In order to access God’s promises one must know what they are.  We find His promises in His Word [the bible].  I have included here a few scriptures which exemplify what God has promised us.

2 Peter 1:4

And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

Philippians 4:19

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 1:33

But all who listen to me will live in peace,
untroubled by fear of harm.

These are just a few of God’s promises to us.  Here are my tips on how to use God’s promises to turn 2017 into a year of good health, prosperity, harmony and happiness.

TIPS FOR A HEALTHY, PROSPEROUS, HARMONIOUS AND HAPPY 2017

1. Believe in the Lord Jesus. In order to believe in Him, you must know that He exists and who He Is.  If you do not have a personal relationship with Him  you can study the Word to learn more about Him.  You can also chat with me.

2. Step out on faith.  Test Him.  This requires both faith and trust.  The bible tells us about faith the size of a mustard seed.  I have never seen a mustard seed yet I have seen flower seeds and they are quite small.  Make your test for God something small that you will be willing to risk.  I suggest small not because of God’s ability, but rather because of the unwillingness of most to risk and trust.  Only you can determine what this act will involve.  A given is that you must believe and that the test you are setting is congruent with God’s Word.  If you are unsure seek assistance.  You can discuss your planned test with me in a chat if that is your desire.

3.  Be selfless rather than selfish. Look for ways of being of service to others.  God wants us to share the love of Jesus. Some of us take a very narrow view of service.  Service can include lending a helping hand, saying a kind word, giving a smile, or hug; displaying road courtesy rather than road rage.

Matthew 25:40 New International Version (NIV)

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

4.  Spend time in prayer and meditation daily.  The closer you are to God, the closer He will be to you.  Prayer is our way of communicating with Him.  Meditation allows us quiet time to hear from Him.  If you are too busy to talk to Him or listen to Him how can you hear His instructions?  As you study the Word, pray and meditate.  This  brings you closer to Him and more in line with His desires for you.

Jeremiah 29:11New International Version (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
